Section 1. Most Winning Features of TaxDome
To begin with, we want to remind you about the most prominent TaxDome features. Make sure you fully understand them and, thus, can communicate these unique selling points to prospects. And remember that you can always re-familiarize yourself with them by reviewing our Academy courses and comprehensive help articles.
Feature #1. Automated Workflow with Conditional Automations
Workflows are fully customizable to the firm’s needs.
- You can set up workflows to automatically create jobs, send emails, request data from clients and remind them to accomplish what you need from them.
- Using conditional logic inside pipelines allows you to create if-then rules that trigger automations for selected groups of clients and also decide which clients will enter the specific stages.
- Customize which steps come after which (example: don’t create a task to e-file until the return is prepared, don’t create a task to prepare the return until a contract is signed, etc). With Automove, there’s no need to monitor their statuses and updates manually.
For more details on workflow automation go here or learn in our How to Automate Your Workflow course.
Feature #2. CRM
CRM Managing prospects & existing clients is easy with the integrated CRM. TaxDome offers wizard-based import of contacts from other software. This includes custom fields to reflect information that is unique to each individual client , e.g., SSN, birthday, phone number, and so on.

Feature #3. Customizable Conditional Organizers
To automate new client onboarding, TaxDome firms can create fully customizable, digital questionnaires.
- TaxDome has a library of templates that our clients use to speed up their practice. You can either pick one of ours (and customize it if needed) or create a new one from scratch.
- With conditional logic in organizers, clients get short and clean organizers that show them additional questions depending on their previous answers. E.g., only if clients say they are married, show them questions about their spouse.
For more details on organizers go here or learn in our How to Use Organizers course.
Feature #4. Document Management
Document management system (DMS) is incorporated with unlimited e-signatures, client portal and CRM.
- Firms and clients can use any device to securely access files and share data.
- Folder permissions allow firms to separate private firm files and those necessary for client viewing.
- TaxDome subscription includes unlimited cloud-based storage space.
- TaxDome integrates with all tax software for paperless document storage and management
- TaxDome Drive allows managing all documents from a dedicated virtual drive. Firms can upload, copy, move files and folders, edit them locally and auto-save changes directly to TaxDome.

Section 3. TaxDome’s Templates
Setting all things up may be exhausting. That’s why maybe the most important feature for newcomers is to find out how they can relate to templates. Please see the video below to refresh in memory how helpful they are:
To summarize:
- TaxDome offers templates library for tasks, emails, organizers, contracts, pipelines, and signatures
- Firms are advised to start from copying pipeline templates depending on the services they are offering, and then tweak them accordingly
- The most popular email template is the "Welcome email" one.
Remember that each template could be easily edited up to the client’s needs. Also, using the templates library is the easiest way to set up things quickly. Here, we provide you best practices when using our template library:
The most important things to remember:
- Creating a pipeline from scratch usually takes up to 2 hours (even for experienced users). And copying and tweaking it takes up to 15 minutes.
- The most fast way of getting different templates in bulk is copying a pipeline template (which already includes them). You can then delete a pipeline, and this will not delete the templates!
- Don’t copy too many templates and always delete all unnecessary ones.
